Under U.S. federal law, all male U.S. citizens are required to register for the Selective Service within a 60 day period starting thirty days before their 18th birthday. This applies to persons who are visiting or residing overseas as well as dual citizens.
Any such person may register at this office Monday through Thursday between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Friday between 9 a.m. and 12 noon, except on U.S. and Belgian holidays.
If you have not timely registered for the selective service, it is better to register late than not at all. Failure to register can result in penalties deemed appropriate by the Department of Justice. Our office only provides registration assistance.
