The State Department has furthermore produced a brief overview of the aims and objectives of U.S. foreign policy around the world and the work that U.S. diplomats do to achieve these goals. The overview, entitled Diplomacy: the U.S. State Department at Work, describes 4 broad foreign policy goals of the U.S. and provides links to more in-depth information at the State Department website.

U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world generally maintain websites of their own: a list of them can be found at usembassy.state.gov Most of these embassies also have libraries or information resource centers (IRCs), which can provide further assistance in finding information about U.S. foreign policy.
