The Story of the Red Star Line and Emigration
Speaking from his own family's experience as immigrants from the Ukraine to the US, Ambassador Sam Fox along with Vice-Mayor Philip Heylen of Antwerp opened the exhibit, “Antwerp = America = Red Star Line,” at the National Maritime Museum in Antwerp on March 19. The exhibit is open until the end of 2008.

Memorial Day in Belgium
On Memorial Day Belgians and Americans visit the graves of individual fallen Americans Flanders Field, where 368 Americans killed in World War I are buried; at Henri-Chappelle, where 7,992 from World War II are buried, and at the Ardennes, where 5,329 more from World War II lay at rest.
